Lyne Contour V2.0 External Dropper Post -New

Woodstock, Western Cape
Whether you are out to shred trails on your all-mountain bike or looking to shave some time off your next marathon race, a Contour dropper post will improve your ride.

Lyne Contour dropper posts have a proven track record of being reliable and durable. The simplistic internals feature a sealed hydraulic cartridge with removable brass keys, bushings and seals which mean that servicing is easy and all wearing parts can be replaced. We also offer a range of installation and service videos if you prefer to do maintenance yourself.

The Contour V2.0 is our second-generation external dropper post which has the cable entry on the mid cap of the post. The benefit of this new cable attachment position is that the outer cable stays stationary when the saddle is dropped. This means cable routing is easier and no cable rub can occur as the cable is stationary. The head clamp design has been updated and now matches the Contour internal post which uses two bolts for more secure rail fastening and finer adjustment of saddle angle.

Contour Dropper Post Features:

Replaceable wearing parts- brass keys, bushings and seals are all replaceable
Mechanical 4mm gear cable- easily replaced and available at your LBS
Sealed Hydraulic cartridge- infinite adjustability and no predetermined steps
7000 series alloy means its lightweight and durable

27.2 x 105mm
30.9 x 125mm
31.6 x 125mm

Oooooooo, game changer, this beats the Giant if you need an externally routed post on a budget, sucks having cable movement/rubbing the back tyre etc.

The new version is great because the cable is static. Our 27.2mm version will be coming in a couple of months.

Can you service the hydraulic internal mech, or get replacement cartridges if required?

Hi there...

Can you provide info on a recommended torque setting for the seatpost collar bolt? There is nothing in the supplied manual and I am sure that too much will impede the action of the post.

Cheers

Hi

In the manual under the "Important Notes Before Installation" section you will see the seat post clamp torque. We recommend 4-6Nm.

This is a sensitive subject with dropper posts as the tolerance of the internal seat tube diameter differs from brand to brand so the torque spec may not always yield the same results in every situation. Our general rule of thumb is use the least possible torque you can get away with before any seat post slippage occurs.

Cheers
