I have always had weird times with THE single track - seems to have some dodgy start/finish points since it got fixed up, you can't hang around near either...

Im actually super keen to watch local guys taking on local segments, I recon its going to be awesome.

Patchelicious, Apr 18 2016 02:13

Wouldn't the obvious Cape Town segment be Suikerbossie... Like duh!

Is this the climb up Plum Pudding to the bottom of THE SINGLE TRACK?

PKotze, Apr 18 2016 03:50

looks the complete plum pudding climb, so not at the tree, the lower point of the climb, the intersection that takes you to De Waal Dr

Who or what is Die Muishond? Is he like the Stig? Seems to be on top or near the top of most of the hard segments out my way.

rickus.jooste, Apr 18 2016 04:21

Piketboberg Trails, Suicide Run

rickus.jooste, Apr 18 2016 04:23

I have no idea what any of this is.

Feels like Snapchat all over again. :(

I'm old.

Get your visa for behind the curtain, come and de-throne LBK. Once they've finished repairs of course.

Bloemenslang - Just the drop on Bloemdal.

Klapperkop in pretoria!! Or wolwespruit climb 1

timwightman, Apr 19 2016 09:46

Here's my nomination, something downhill, and a little longer.

Average gradient of 16%...but the crux if the climb is 20%-25% loose and rocky. Its a real nail bitter when it comes to line choice! Would love to actually see someone ride it!

There's a few, all on dirt roads

Oubergpass - It's part of one of the oldest passes and the original Forgotten Highway through the barren Karoo, the original diamond route between Ceres and Kimberley:

Merino Bastard - It's never ending!

Swartbergpass (North side) - Long and steep!

Swartbergpass (South side) - Long and steep!

Edit: Don't waste your time on short little twisty Strava segments for the Videos, not the ones that will allow you recovery time after a few hours and attempt again the same or next day. Select the ones a bit off the beaten track and the ones that you'll feel in your legs many days after attempting it

PKotze, Apr 19 2016 10:49

I think "Die Muishond" should be recruited for these segments. Seems like all his best times are part of long rides. Imagine if he was only doing those segments.
