The cutting-edge design by our new partner Assos of Switzerland recently wowed our riders and staff when it was first revealed to them in mid-November. It will carry the logos of a number of key partners alongside that of title sponsor: Dimension Data.
The iconic Qhubeka hand will take up a striking position on the back of the jersey, reaching upwards. This is a key signifier of what the charity stands for in providing a “hand up” to the beneficiaries.
We are also delighted to share with you the redesign of our website where you’ll be able to find more information about our riders and staff, as well as our fantastic partners – www.africasteam.com.
“As a team we are incredibly excited about 2019 and a new fresh look is a fantastic way to see in the new year. When we first saw the early sets of kit designs from ASSOS at our team camp in Cape Town in November, we were all incredibly excited. So to be able to now present our kit is a proud moment,” said Team Principal Douglas Ryder.
“During the course of 2018 the Qhubeka hand became an iconic piece of our digital offering by way of our race posters and was hugely well received as fans sought it out. Its strategic placement on our new kit is really significant and speaks to the core essence of what drives our team, as we look to continue to change lives through bicycles.
“The new kit along with our new-look website are core pillars in the branding of the team and I’d like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who spent so much time in getting us off to the perfect start.”
