Specially equipped with bigger tires, wider rims, and lower gearing, the SE versions of these road bikes offer more comfort, more versatility and more possibilities to define “road-riding” on your own terms. I doubt anyone could tell the difference anyway. I still can't.

Gravel bike = Cycle Cross bike not ridden on the CX course.

Gravel bikes have a slightly slacker geometry and longer head tube. You'll feel the difference immediately when you ride them. It's like riding a CX race bike and then getting onto a 130mm trail bike .

Gravel Frames are very different to CX Frames - the biggest differences being:

1. Relaxed Comfort Geometry vs Steep Road Style Geometry

2. A lot of Tyre Clearance for Modern Gravel Tyres vs Marginal Tyre Clearance for skinny CX Tyres

That's a weird way to describe a hardtail mountain bike with drop bars on.

Wonder when the new Slate is coming : 29" wheels and the new single crown (Ocho) Lefty...

Pure Savage, Jul 03 2018 11:46

That 105 with Hydro brakes would be 100%! Next bike alert!

Love the 46/32 front chain rings, only thing I struggled with the slate was lack of traction on steep climbs with compact crank gearing and lack of traction.
