Zipp 302 - Achievable Speed

From the engineers at Zipp, comes the 302 Carbon Clincher. With a 45mm deep carbon rim made in Indianapolis, optimized for low aerodynamic drag and precise handling in all riding conditions, the 302 Carbon Clincher delivers the ride that their wheels are renowned for at a price that makes Zipp carbon quality and performance more attainable than ever.

To keep the wheels light and easy to service Zipp used a centre locking brake rotor mounting interface on their 76D/176D hubs. The 76D/176D hubset also features replaceable axle end caps for thru-axle compatibility. Add in the 302’s XDR driver body compatibility, and you have a wheelset that can meet the needs of virtually everyone. And like all of their carbon clinchers, the 302 uses the same rim bed design that makes tire removal and installation as easy as possible.

The 302’s smooth carbon rim is hand assembled to Zipp’s new 76D/176D hubs using Belgian CX-Sprint spokes and brass spoke nipples to build a wheel that is both fast and reliable—tough enough to survive the Spring Classics or the road less travelled, yet light enough to tackle the steepest grades.

302 rims, like all of Zipp's carbon clinchers, are proudly made in Indianapolis. Since Zipp’s inception in 1988, they’ve chosen to handcraft their carbon rims there for one reason: Precision. With complete control of the manufacturing process from start to finish, they build wheels that set the industry standard for precision. Rigorously inspected at the Indianapolis factory, they ensure that only the world’s best wheels receive the Zipp label—and are proud to make this level of quality more attainable than ever with the 302. The 45mm rim depth provides proven aero benefits with high stability, yet the 302 remains nimble to make this a wheel for all terrain and wind conditions.

Price indication on these?

R14,500 rear wheel, R11,500 front wheel.

The CCS website has all the pricing.

I got a set from CWC for R18000, I think Evo bikes also sells them, great wheels but not the price CCS wants for them,

CCS don't sell direct to the public. The price they give on their website is a suggested retail price. Retailers are free to price as they wish without undermining the brand position in the market.

So this is a 303 without dimples and a little narrower.

This article lacks some important info.
It presents wheels at an attainable price, but does not state the price.

Wheels are described as light, but weigtht is not given.

Aero benefits are mentioned, but not how much faster these will make the owner, or how these compare to other Zipp wheels.

Just bla bla bla, imo
